Where Did Summer Go?

Hello friend.

Welcome back to the porch swing.

Where do I begin? Last week was a very long and busy week. We got home on Monday from our trip and let's just say that I fried from the sun. Everyone had a blast though. Then Tuesday we started pulling green bean plants to harvest the beans. Boy were there a lot of beans. Luckily they are all processed finally! This year we got 4 bushels out of the garden and it was definitely the biggest harvest yet!

Everytime a basket gor picked and came inside I think I secretly cried because anyone who knows canning knows pressure canning takes a little while to do.

With all that going on it was time for school supply shopping as well since school starts this week. It feels like summer just started.

How many of your kiddos are starting back already? Are you ready for it or do you wish summer was just a little longer? I know I am grateful for school starting because this momma needs a little break from all the brotherly fighting going on.

Even with sports it feels like the kids have so much energy and can never fully get rid of it. But that's kids right? Even though there weren't any tough things to happen the last week, I'm grateful for everything that got done and cannot wait to see what this week brings.

I hope you'll keep stopping by for these little talks about life—the big moments and the wonderfully ordinary ones.

Until our next visit,

❤️ I'll save you a seat.
